Mrs Pauline Rauert is the first female to be elected president of the BIU band.   Mrs Rauert's election further strengthens the growing female presence within the band in recent years and marks a significant milestone in the band's 108 year history.  She joins Musical Director Kyla Vine, Deputy Conductor Helen Wood and Uniform Conservator Dawn Mawby in forming a strong female leadership presence in the band.   Also pictured is Karen Muscat (nee Armstrong) who was the first female member of the BIU Band.   Full story published in the Barrier Daily Truth - Tues, 12th Feb, 2008
